Today I’m sharing a wine and hors d’oeuvres pairing that’s perfect for warm summer evenings! Although I don’t write a lot about wine, I love it just as much as cocktails, and thanks to my wine-loving family, I’ve been enjoying it and learning about it for years.
The holidays and holiday festivities are right around the corner, which for me means two things: cocktails and hors d’oeuvres! One of my favorite things about this time of year is creating the drinks and small bites that my family enjoys when we all get together. We spend the holidays traveling between my parents’ home and my in-laws, so rather than putting together main dishes, I’m usually in charge of the appetizers and apéritifs.
It’s finally April and Easter weekend put me in the mood for a fun rosé cocktail. I was inspired by my Bonne Maman marmalade to make something along the lines of a Breakfast Martini or the original Marmalade Cocktail, but one thing led to another and I ended up with this bittersweet blend of crisp rosé, lemon, Campari, marmalade, and orgeat.
