The liquor cabinet is freshly stocked, my dehydrator is full of winter citrus, the baby is peacefully snoozing, and I’m enjoying this sunny little gin tipple. Pretty perfect day.
- 2 oz gin
- 1 oz pineapple juice
- 1/3 oz Buddha’s hand syrup*
- 1/4 oz yuzu juice
- 3 dashes orange bitters
- Sage leaves
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Double strain into a chilled glass and garnish with sage.
*Buddha’s Hand syrup
- 100 ml (about a half cup) water
- 100 g (about a half cup) sugar
- 3 large ‘fingers’ of a Buddha’s hand
Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat and stir until sugar dissolves. Add Buddha’s Hand and simmer until the syrup begins to thicken. Remove from heat, allow to cool, strain and enjoy. Store in the refrigerator.
