With a low of -14 last night, I’m really dreaming about those first flowers of springtime! ???
Also, somehow last summer I ended up with two bottles of coconut rum, so I’ve been looking for creative ways to use them up to make room for better booze. This low abv cocktail is sweet and intensely floral, and the very clean cornflower and lavender flavors mellow the coconut rum to a soft vanilla undertone. Think floral candy ???
Next time I think I’ll skip the tea and just infuse the lavender and cornflower into the syrup, and add a dark rum to the mix to booze it up a bit. ?
- 2 oz tea of organic cornflowers and lavender flowers
- 1.5 oz hibiscus-infused coconut rum
- 1/2 oz fresh squeezed orange juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 1 egg white
- Garnished with lavender and cornflowers
