2oztequila (I used reposado, you could also use blanco)
1 oz lime juice
1oz triple sec
4-5fresh ripe strawberries, washed and hulled
Muddle the strawberries in the bottom of a cocktail shaker.
Add remaining ingredients and fill the shaker 3/4 with ice.
Shake until chilled, about 12 seconds. Fine strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a strawberry.
Recipe ModificationsYou can use this same basic recipe formula to make other fresh fruit flavored Margaritas! Simply replace the strawberries with a handful of other fresh, juicy, in season fruit such as peaches, melons, other berries, pineapple, kiwi, or mango. If you feel more comfortable working with exact measurements, try using at least 2 tbsp of washed, chopped, and muddled fruit per drink. I like to go a bit heavier for a more intense fruit flavor, using about 3-4 tbsp, or 1/4 cup of fruit.
