Christmas Sugar Cookie Martini

This festive dessert cocktail is a grown up, not-too-sweet take on the Sugar Cookie Martini with rum, Shanky's Whip liqueur, orgeat, and heavy cream.

Ingredients
  

For the cocktail:

  • oz Shanky's Whip Black Irish Whiskey Liqueur
  • 1 oz white rum
  • 1 oz heavy cream
  • ¼ oz orgeat

For the rim:

  • 1-2 teaspoon vanilla frosting
  • red and green sprinkles enough to fill a shallow dish

Instructions
 

For the rim:

  • Use a butter knife or the back of a spoon to apply a thin layer of frosting along the outside rim of a martini or other cocktail glass.
  • Pour your sprinkles into a small dish, then press the frosting rimmed glass into the sprinkles.

For the cocktail:

  • Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and fill it ¾ with ice.
  • Shake until chilled, about 12 seconds, then strain into your rimmed cocktail glass.
  • Garnish with mini sugar cookies, if desired.

Notes

Note: This recipe is more spirit-forward than other dessert drinks. If you prefer a milder, less boozy flavor, increase the amount of heavy cream by half to one ounce, or to taste.
