Basil Lime Smash Mocktail

basil-smash-mocktail-02-2354871

I’m a gin lover, and what gin lover doesn’t love a Gin Basil Smash? It’s all the things that a great sour-style gin cocktail is made of: junipery gin, crisp citrus, and garden-fresh herbs.

If you enjoy a Gin Basil Smash, but aren’t currently imbibing, give this Basil Smash mocktail a try. I vigorously muddled twelve whole basil leaves with green grapes and freshly squeezed lime juice for a very refreshing, herbal sip that’s anything but a boring mocktail. You can strain and enjoy this mocktail as is, or top with a few ounces of sparkling water for a bubbly refresher. I like to add sparkling water and sip this from one of my oversized ’80s martini glasses.
