It’s finally April and Easter weekend put me in the mood for a fun rosé cocktail. I was inspired by my Bonne Maman marmalade to make something along the lines of a Breakfast Martini or the original Marmalade Cocktail, but one thing led to another and I ended up with this bittersweet blend of crisp rosé, lemon, Campari, marmalade, and orgeat.
I love creating cocktails, but my first culinary passion is actually baking. Today I was working on some beet tuile cookies and ended up burning the first few while I figured out the process. The smoky, pan-fried beet cookies were strangely appealing, so I decided to break out the peaty Scotch and turn my cooking mishap into a dreamy, smoky, beet cocktail.
Happy first day of Spring! ?
Let’s be honest, I’ve been celebrating the arrival of this day for weeks (months?) already, but tonight I’m enjoying an extra sunny little sipper to welcome the change of seasons with open arms.
Happy National Margarita Day! ? I’m celebrating with a sweet and tangy passionfruit + kiwi margarita, complete with festive garnish. I had a lot of fun with this one when I realized that a passionfruit fit perfectly in the depression of my margarita glass. I created a tiered garnish with passionfruit and lime halves and topped it with a slice of kiwi and a sprig of mint. What are you drinking today?
I created this cocktail, named after the Japanese sun goddess to join @thecocktailblog12’s February #a2zcocktails event
I’m really excited to learn a ton of new cocktails this month. It’s only been a month since I joined the #drinkstagram community, and I’ve already learned so much from so many kind and wonderful people.
