Today is officially the first day of Fall and what better way to ring in a new season than with festive seasonal cocktails! There’s something for everyone, from roasted pumpkin Bloody Marys to apple cinnamon Negronis and everything in between.
One of the most fragrant and beautiful of all the plants surrounding our house is wisteria. We have a trellis outside our sunroom that’s been taken over by wisteria and trumpet vines over the years, and this time of year, the gorgeous purple blossoms hang down from overhead, their clean, sweet scent wafting through the house.
Today I’m celebrating America’s whiskey and the fact that it’s almost (officially) summer with a pitcher of bourbon-spiked chamomile and bee pollen honeybush iced tea. This stuff tastes like a gloriously lazy summer afternoon and pairs perfectly with my honey spice cookies, glazed with lemon icing and topped with tasty bee pollen.
It’s June, it’s finally warm outside, and it’s finally Negroni Week! I’m super excited to share my new favorite rocks glasses, some fun variations on the classic red cocktail, and not one, but four Instagram giveaways!
This cocktail is one of my ‘kitchen sink’ creations, which I make by finding inspiration with whatever is hanging around in my produce drawer and starting to look a little sad. Yeah, I know, tomatoes and nectarines won’t be in season until at least May, but it’s never too early to get a jumpstart on summer drinking plans!
